  • Alternate Character Interpretation: As pointed out by Hannah and Jake from their review on The Bible Reloaded of this movie, partway through the film the way Rachel is portrayed will be seen in different ways depending on whether or not you're a hardcore Christian - either she's not following her religion hard enough (what was most likely intended), or she's possibly suffering from depression (implied by the fact she contemplates suicide). Both of them could be true, naturally.
  • Audience-Alienating Premise: Like most Pure Flix movies, it largely failed to attract anyone outside of their usual target audience...and nobody in their usual audience was much interested in the story of a young woman (and a dozen of her classmates) being pointlessly and ceaselessly murdered by two pathetic lunatics. Ironic, given that this one is actually considered to be one of Pure Flix's better films.
  • Growing the Beard: Of a sorts. It's seen as one of the best Pure Flix films due to it being more of a proper, realistic story, with less problematic propaganda than usual (namely, it doesn't directly attack anyone for their religious views or lack thereof like previous films, though it's indirectly done by portraying Harris and Klebold as anti-religious atheists). It's also seen as being a genuinely touching movie at times, rather than the usual Narm.
  • Narm: Beth Nimmo's "Are you buzzing?" line. Plus, the foreshadowing to the shooting shown throughout the movie are about as nuanced as a sledgehammer to the face.
  • So Okay, It's Average: It's nothing brilliant, shocking, interesting, or innovative, but it's an alright film.
  • Took the Bad Film Seriously: Some of the movie's detractors do at least give credit to Masey McClain for playing the lead role well.
