- There's also a literal example of this. Cristian grew a beard during the production of Enigma. Not to mention aged quite a few years and gained weight.
- They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: Many fans were displeased with the more mature sound of Enigma, with some even calling it their worst album to date.
- Nightmare Fuel: Some of their Spanish lyrics are quite violent and scary when translated to English, particularly in their most aggressive songs. "The Alibi of Tyrants" features lines in the bridge that, when translated, are revealed to be about being skinned alive.
