• Alternative Character Interpretation:
  • While it is indicated that Violette eventually became a nuisance towards Claudia even before Maryjune came into the picture, the manga and light novel initially indicated that Violette's early attempts to win over Claudia were tame and respectful. What caused her attempts to go downhill? Did she misinterpret Claudia’s rejection and decide she needed a different approach? Was it purely due to desperation for someone to love her?
  • Why did Claudia turn down Violette's initial attempts to win him over? Did Claudia do a poor job in turning Violette's initial attempts down? Did he not try to let her down lightly? Did he judge her too soon? Did it have anything to do with the fact Violette was childhood friends with Yulan? It is indicated in both the manga and light novel, Claudia's people skills are not always the best, and he tended to jump to conclusions. Additionally, he had a degree of jealousy regarding his half-brother Yulan.
  • Is Maryjune really Innocently Insensitive in regards to her actions and the things she says to Violette have harmed her? She witnesses her father constantly berate and demean Violette, so how oblivious can she be in regards to Violette’s mental state in either timeline?
  • While it is established that Violette did bully Maryjune in the original timeline, how much of it was actually her fault? In the new timeline, it is quickly made clear others would bully Maryjune without any prompting by Violette. Additionally, had Violette not intervened, Maryjune’s black-and-white mentality would’ve caused the bullying issue to escalate to the point even Prince Claudia was turned off by her actions despite the fact Maryjune was his fiancé in the previous timeline. The bullying only ceased in the new timeline after Violette made a declaration to all those involved that Maryjune is a member of the Vahan household.
  • Violette’s father, Auld, what exactly are his intentions with the Vahan name? While it is established his marriage was a political one, did he marry into the Vahan name simply to gain prestige and showed little care if his actions would end the legitimate bloodline? Did he wish to recreate the Vahan family with his own bloodline instead?
  • How much does Maryjune actually care about Violette as a person? In both timelines, she has witnessed her father mistreat Violette multiple times. She is also shown to constantly be Innocently Insensitive towards Violette, and she doesn’t bother to ask if Violette is okay with things, such as trying to spend time with her Childhood Friend Yulan. In the original timeline, she may have reduced Violette’s sentence to life imprisonment, but unlike Marin she never mentioned that Violette was abused and she dismissed her sister a criminal like Claudia. Was Maryjune simply in love with the idea of having a big sister rather than Violette herself as a person? In Volume 4 of the Light Novel, despite witnessing Violette be physically abused by their father, she wishes for Violette to return home after she runs away and Yulan provides her shelter.
  • Was Violette's Rage Breaking Point towards Maryjune in Volume 4, fueled more due to the fact Maryjune wasn't willing to choose between her and their parents. Earlier in the Volume, while Violette was very clear that she despised both Maryjune and her parents, she was willing to be amiable and let her down easy. It was only after Maryjune tried pressing her to return home despite the fact their father abused her to which Maryjune witnessed. Would Violette have been more willing to accepted Maryjune if she decided to side with her? Additionally, Maryjune asked Violette for a chance and allow her to give Violette back everything that was stolen from her, so was Maryjune asking Violette to come back to the estate despite witnessing their father abuse her basically Maryjune breaking the self-made promise she made to Violette?
• Les Yay: After Violette keeps Princess Rosette’s love of reptiles a secret, they become quite attached to each other, and fast friends to everyone, including Yulan’s, surprise. In the manga, Rosette expresses concern that she might end up falling for Violette’s charm. In the light novel, Rosette becomes somewhat protective of her friendship with Violette when Yulan confronts her on the possibility of her being a False Friend to Violette.
