• More Popular Replacement: While it has attracted flak from Epcot fans for being an IP-based attraction that has little to do with Epcot's original edutainment roots, the ride as a whole is a lot more liked than Ellen's Energy Adventure, which was a Contested Sequel to Universe of Energy and one of Epcot's least popular rides.
• Nightmare Fuel: One promotional commercial for the ride starts as an ordinary advertisement for Disney World… until the visuals glitch out and a mission brief appears on the screen, explaining that "time and space are rewinding."
