• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • The "Alm's Potatoes" stand in Chapter 5 was due to Alm being one of the few retro character names the author remembered in 2016. One year later, Alm's game would receive a remake.
  • At the end of Storm Chapter 20, Oboro comments on Leo wearing his collar inside-out. The two never speak in the game. Come Fire Emblem Warriors, they have a support conversation, and this same issue is discussed.
  • In the fourth chapter of Fire, some of Haitaka's soldiers distract themselves by playing a Fire Emblem themed Gotta Catch Them All game based on Pokémon GO. Within the year, Fire Emblem Heroes would be released.
