Angst Aversion: The story is very angsty between Izuku's constant fear of either being captured by his father or found out by Pro Heroes and his self-loathing over the source of his Quirks.
Catharsis Factor: After multiple chapters of Sir Nighteye and Gran Torino beating Izuku in an effort to make him reveal he's All For One's son, it's immensely satisfying to see All Might chew them both out and announce that Sir's teaching license has been revoked and that Mirio is terminating his internship with him.
Take That, Scrappy!: Mineta is expelled for placing last in the Quirk Apprehension Test as well as having multiple counts of sexual harassment.
Wangst: The story's extreme angstiness overtakes Izuku's personality at the expense of almost all his other traits. In every conversation he's a hair-trigger away from an emotional breakdown, and virtually all of his thoughts are some variation of him being misunderstood or his fear of being exposed. While he has reasons to angst, he spends so much time doing it that he rarely displays his canon character traits like his bravery in the face of danger or his Determinator mindset.
The Woobie: Izuku is a highly emotional kid burdened with the fact that his father is the worst villain in all of Japan and the Arch-Enemy of Izuku's lifelong idol, All Might. On his first day of school, he's left homeless after his father abducts Inko and is constantly looking over his shoulder out of fear of being caught by Kurogiri. Izuku is often paralyzed with fear over what would happen to him if he's ever discovered and can never accept praise for his deeds because he never feels like he deserves it for deceiving everyone he's gotten close to. He can't even open up to his Childhood Friend Bakugou about it, because he's terrified of Bakugou going after All For One and getting killed. Chapter 21 reveals that Izuku believes his mother is dead rather than kidnapped.
