YMMV / Feud: Capote vs. the Swans

Go To

  • Anachronistic Soundtrack: In "Hats, Gloves, and Effete Homosexuals", two scenes taking place in 1978 use Indeep's "Last Night a DJ Saved My Life", which was released in 1982. Coincidentally, the song was also used in the second season of "American Crime Story", a previous Ryan Murphy production.
  • Just Here for Godzilla: A number of viewers have confessed that they're mainly watching this miniseries because of the cast, which includes Treat Williams in his final onscreen role and Jessica Lange in her first role in a Ryan Murphy production in five years.
  • Questionable Casting: ChloĆ« Sevigny as C.Z. Guest. Sevigny is around ten years younger than Guest was when "La Cote Basque 1965" was published, and barely makes any effort to sound like a Boston Brahmin. It's particularly noticeable in "Hats, Gloves, and Effete Homosexuals", where she complains about a photo making her look like the grandmother from The Addams Family, despite not looking especially old.
