• Older Than They Think: This cartoon wasn't the first work by Disney to have a subplot of a character having a crush on someone who turns them down romantically, while reacting in a very mature way to the rejection. The Hunchback of Notre Dame did this, though in the latter case, Quasimodo struggles with this rejection at first, only to come to terms with it, when he realizes that he just wants his beloved to be happy.
