- Harsher in Hindsight: A delirious Jamie believes that a Cyberman menacing him is "the Phantom Piper", in the context of this story implied to be a McCrimmon family psychopomp ghost. A much later Twelfth Doctor Doctor Who Magazine comic story would reveal that the Phantom Piper is actually a Humanoid Abomination Anthropomorphic Personification of war.
