YMMV / Divided Rainbow

• Arc Fatigue: The author has so far stretched the timeline of "Magical Mystery Cure" to thirty-two chapters (plus a prologue and two bonus chapters) spanning over a month, the justification being that Pinkie running Sweet Apple Acres almost into the ground would take far longer than what was implied in the episode. The problem is that it's really hard to believe that Twilight, by this point in the show, would take so long to come up with the simple solution she found in the episode. At this point it really looks more like Lero being there is holding her back somehow, especially now that he's helped Rainbow Dash solve her own problems, leaving Twilight with no reason to think of having Fluttershy help her.
• Broken Base:
  • Twilight having sex with Rarity caused a division among readers over the ethics, which was then made even more complicated when the next chapter revealed that Swapped!Rarity instigated it, and that Twilight repeatedly tried to dissuade her before being pressured into it.
  • Luna and Celestia being the end result of a permanent Swap.
• Padding: Numerous chapters revolving around events that obviously didn't happen in canon (ie: Lero being kidnapped) and are thus only intended to distract Twilight further from coming to the solution ahead of the author's extrapolated timeframe for the episode.
• Win Back the Crowd: The explanation of events following the Broken Base above, as well as Swapped!Rarity's response to Lero's question on how to handle the 'hypothetical' situation of Rainbow Dash taking Rarity's place in his herd.
