YMMV / Disney's Magical Mirror Starring Mickey Mouse

  • Fridge Brilliance: What's the major difference between a standard ending and the Golden Ending? In the latter, Mickey stops partway through the in-between space and beckons the ghost to follow, just as he did to get Mickey through the mirror to his world at the beginning. In order to pass through the mirror to another world, a native needs to invite the visitor.
  • Nightmare Fuel:
    • The giant rubber duckie that chases the shrunken Mickey around the toy room. It has a blank, dead-eyed face that almost looks like it came straight out of Uncanny Valley. There is a reason why people solely remember the game because of the rubber duck itself, as it gave them nightmares for life.
    • Most of the tricks in the game are playful teasers, but one in particular stands out from the rest: One of the paintings in the basement looks normal at first, showing a picture of an innocent woman. But then it gradually shifts into a nightmarish blue-skinned witch, which scares Mickey half to death and sends him tumbling onto the cabinet behind him.
  • Spiritual Successor: The game is a kid friendly version of Clock Tower (Capcom owns part of the IP after Human Entertainment fell under bankruptcy), more specifically the first one. Mickey has to wander around a large house trying to escape while dealing with another character that is trying to scare him in the style of a point and click adventure. Unlike Clock Tower, the game has no deaths and the ghost just wants to play with Mickey.
