• Magnificent Bastard: The mysterious man known as "Wolf #1" sends letters to six professional criminals, asking them to grow beards to disguise their faces and then meet him in an isolated ghost town. He describes a plan to launch a series of daring yet bloodless armed robberies upon the big businesses of the western town of Allerton. The gang spends days repeatedly rehearsing the robbery while avoiding sharing any personal information about each other and imprisons the local police force in their own jail, then robs half of the targeted businesses before being repelled by a cop who wasn't at the police station due to having just been fired. Wolf #1 and his remaining men escape in a plane, parachuting over the desert at different locations, shaving their beards, and then departing from the area on buses. The ending has a captured member of the gang recognize a whimsical children's show entertainer as a clean-shaven Wolf #1 but leaves it ambiguous as to whether he'll rat his boss out or not.
