• Awesome Music: Georges Delerue's score is heartbreakingly sad, especially the cue "Camille", which is the one normally associated with the movie.
• Critical Dissonance: This is the most popular Brigitte Bardot film among film critics, intellectuals and film fans generally, but you'd be hard-pressed to find a BB fan who calls this their favorite movie of hers (or even put it in their top 5).
• Ensemble Dark Horse: Francesca is more popular than Camille over at IMDB. Also notice the number of tropes she fits, despite the fact that she's not that involved in the conflict of the film.
• Fan Disservice: Godard, in response to pressure by producer Joseph E. Levine to include a Bardot nude scene, proceeded to film it as unerotically as possible.
