• Friendly Fandoms: With fans of both The Wilds and Yellowjackets, thanks to all three being Prime Video series dealing with a group of people (primarily or entirely women) struggling to survive in a deserted location. Particularly the latter, given both shows deal with cannibalism. Chi Nguyen being in both The Wilds and this series also helps.
• Les Yay: Unsurprisingly, given that the show centers around women stranded together in an apocalyptic situation, and deals with their interpersonal dramas. The Ho Yay vibes are especially strong between Zoey and Amelia, Zoey and Saskia, Sandy and Teresa (who mentions briefly she's into women), and Renee and Phoebe.
• Unintentionally Sympathetic: Zoey gets alot of crap and it’s not entirely deserved. She’s yelled at for not warning the girls of the Apocalypse which she tried to do to complete disbelief. After that, there’s nothing much she could have done. Second when Saskia pushes Sandy out to sea, she’s eventually blamed as if she I intentionally helped her do so then left Saskia to take the sole blame. Let’s not forget that Saskia was a bully who was becoming genuinely terrifying to all the girls. All in all Zoey isn’t any worse than most of the girls but she’s treated as THE worst.
