• Common Knowledge: Bodycount is generally known as being both a Spiritual Successor to Black and also being made by the same team after changing studios. This is only partially true; a comparison of the two games credits shows only a very modest amount of overlap between the two games, primarily Black's number two lead designer who would go on to become the development leader of Bodycount (but is only listed in the credits under "Special Thanks" due to leaving the project midway through its Troubled Production), the lead graphics programmer, and the two programmers in charge of creating the A.I. The Battlefield series and Crysis have way more former Black developers than Bodycount does.
• Complete Monster: The Nemesis is the head of "the Target", an organization that orchestrated civil wars across the world. Killing almost all members of "the Network", an organization that opposed her, the Nemesis sparked a Civil War in Tesanga, a small African country, which led to the deaths of millions. Blowing up her own base, killing 50,000 people, the Nemesis taunted and mocked the protagonist as she tried to thwart his attempts to stop her.
• Tough Act to Follow: Black is often regarded as the definitive FPS of the Playstation 2 (with Timesplitters 2 as the other contender). Bodycount, which billed itself as the Spiritual Successor to Black, ended up being widely regarded as a mediocre 7th gen shooter which didn't really do anything to distinguish itself.
