• Fridge Logic: How was Gan supposed to come to their rescue if he couldn't fire a gun with his limiter?
• Harsher in Hindsight: Blake says he'll be back in three years to check on Bek's progress. He'll be dead in two.
• Special Effect Failure: Blake, Avon and Jenna talk about how incredibly hot it is on the surface of the planet, despite the fact that they're standing in a BBC Quarry on what's clearly a cold and overcast day. They at least tried to make it look like the sun was shining, but did so by just drawing a big red dot onto the film, which is unconvincing to say the least.
