YMMV / Batman: Curse of the White Knight

Go To

  • Character Rerailment: In Batman: White Knight, the Joker was presented as a mischievous prankster fanboy who wasn’t as bad as the main universe counterpart, and that the Gotham police had little evidence of him involved with serious crimes. Here, his plots are more dangerous, he plans to undo the work that his alter ego Jack had done combating exposing corruption in Gotham and he brings in Jean-Paul Valley, helping him become the murderous Azrael.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Mainstream comics Barbara Gordon is now featured wearing just a Domino Mask instead of the cowl, but it still fools even James Gordon.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: The White Knight-verse version of Bane shows up again, hinting at a more important role in the sequel. He spends a few short pages establishing himself by manhandling Azrael... Only for one of Azrael's minions to cut his venom tube from behind, after which Azrael cuts Bane's head off like a floundering fish. After that, one can only wonder why they even bothered bringing Bane back if they were only going to kill him off so abruptly.
