YMMV / Arthur's Nightmare

• Nightmare Retardant: The Jump Scares aren't particularly scary on the whole. While Arthur and D.W. are altered enough to at least possibly be unnerving, Jane and David use barely-edited pictures of themselves with Tears of Blood poorly added (especially unconvincing since said trope is frowned upon in creepypasta communities). Not helping is that the accompanying sound, while certainly loud enough to be startling, is either a "HEY!" from the theme song or either parent yelling "ARTHUR!", neither of which is particularly frightening. Of course, given the intentionally goofy parts of the game, this may be intentional.
