  • Ending Fatigue: If people criticise this album at all it's usually for the last LP of studio jams, which aren't as uniformly liked as the composed songs on the first two LPs. (That or the bonus tracks on the 2001 remaster, which were inexplicably stuck in between the first and second LPs, despite the fact that the first and second LPs would have fit on a single CD while the third LP and bonus tracks would have fit on the other CD, and are considered to detract from the flow of the album).
  • Suspiciously Similar Song: "My Sweet Lord" was found to have a strong resemblance to "He's So Fine", a big hit for the Girl Group the Chiffons in 1963. The publisher, Bright Tunes, sued Harrison for plagiarism and after a contentious trial got awarded a big cut of the royalties. Harrison claimed any plagiarism was unintentional but conceded that after he had heard the two songs together, he thought "Why didn't I realize?" The trial consequently and controversially set the legal precedent that cryptomnesia-induced plagiarism is equivalent to intentional plagiarism. Hilariously enough, the Chiffons themselves recorded a cover of "My Sweet Lord" around the time of the lawsuit to try and capitalize on the publicity generated by the lawsuit. He later wrote "This Song" on 33 and 1/3 as a rebuttal to the claims.
  • Tough Act to Follow: While some of Harrison's other albums are well regarded, none of them are this well regarded, nor were any of them this commercially successful. To this day All Things Must Pass remains the best selling solo release by a member of The Beatles.
