• Adorkable: Where to even begin with Grim/Casper? There's his Comically Serious chuuni demeanor, his proclivity to blushing whenever he gets flustered^note which is often, his earnest attempts to learn human customs, and the fact that he has a pink axolotl plushie named Azrael that he cuddles up with at night, just to name a few of his charm points.
• Fetish Retardant: There are a few moments in the game where Grim praises the player character in a sensual manner, with him referring to a female "Sunshine" as "good girl". However, his equivalent term of endearment for a male "Sunshine" is "good guy" rather than the more typical "good boy", which has taken a few players out of the moment in puzzlement. On the other hand, some players may see this as Narm Charm, since Grim is established to be inexperienced when it comes to romance/sexuality, so naturally he wouldn't get everything right.
• Fridge Horror: Grim casually mentions the player character has been evading death for years. If you read the second diary entry, it's heavily implied the player character was supposed to die in elementary school.
