Elys
is a Fan Comic for the Pokémon: The Series, created by Great Peace. Set after Episode 39 of the XYZ series, the story follows Ash, who wakes up in a new world, where he is the last living human being. While there, he soon discovers how different this world is, and what horrors lie in his past.
The comic is one that came about from a "what-if" scenario, had Lysandre succeeded in his plans of committing genocide upon the entire world, though set far into the future of that particular universe.
Elys contains examples of:
- Adventure-Friendly World: More or less...except for all the things out to kill Ash.
- Chained by Fashion: Ash wears a chain around his right wrist when he first appears. The reason for it is unknown.
- Guilt-Free Extermination War: Implied to have been successful on Lysandre's end...at least when it comes to humans. No one really knows the details.
- Let's Get Out of Here: Ash runs from a Bouffalant the second it starts charging at him.
- These Hands Have Killed: Implied that Ash has committed this, though can't quite remember it.
- Water Wake Up: Played with. Ash wakes up in the middle of a lake at the start of the story.
