This series contains examples of:
- Aerith and Bob: Played With. Some nations have names on their native (and corrupted) languages, such as "Stotskpod" (Slovakia) and "Magivaro" (Hungary), while others have completely normal English names, such as Bohemia and Styria.
- After the End: There seems to have been an unspecified apocalyptic event which deeply changed society, causing mass death and urban exodus.
- Alternate Reality Game: The series has had an accompanying ARG since before it was announced, revealing and confirming significant background information about the universe. Some parts still remain unsolved to this day.
- Alternative Calendar: The years of the series are given in "ABC", which means After Budapest Convention.
- One-Word Title: Name Dropped multiple times during dialogue.
