The Penrai Commission's leader Varad Duas is Mulk's successor, whose prototype ninja robots crushed the previous revolution led by Banglar, ushering in a Full-Circle Revolution with Mulk in charge. The Guardians are perfected versions of those prototype ninja robots, even capable of using magic-like abilities.

Blazing Chrome takes place in a Bad Future where Sunseeker defeated Moonrider and carried out his plans

Both are games made by Joymasher. Furthermore, Sunseeker's plan was to have machines like him rule over humans, and Blazing Chrome is a Robot War where robots have attacked and wiped out much of humanity.
