The Jerry Springer Show is a daily celebration of Festivus.
Think about it:
- They have the Airing of Grievances.
- They most certainly have the Feats of Strength.
- They have the Festivus Pole.
Sadly, no Festivus Dinner (usually), but three out of four ain't bad.
- For holidays, they do have feasts (so that the food can be thrown in people's faces), so there's the Festivus Dinner.
Jerry Springer is the Bizarro Jerry.
It would certainly explain a lot.
- Instead of making jokes himself, he brings people on stage to make make fun of themselves
- Though Jewish, he celebrates Festivus. This is the opposite of Jerry, who doesn't celebrate anything.
- "That's a shame." He shows instead of saying it.
Jerry Springer is Satan
He enjoys creating and mediating strife and setting up situations that will destroy what little family harmony exists among his guests. Jerry Springer is under a curse or spell.
Didn't his show used to be a political talk show and he was the mayor of Cincinnati? Someone, probably a fan of the Cleveland Browns, wanted to discredit him. They got an enchanted prostitute, one thing led to another, and here we are. He went with what helped his ratings and apparently found that this, this, is the most effective way. He apologizes for it every chance he gets. Other talk shows will end up just like Jerry Springer
The View, Oprah, Leno, any one of them could end up going down this path at any moment. Most of those shows would start by parodying it and then...
