Caspian will change his name to "Adam Ever" in season 2
  • For clarification, The Gods Have Not Died In Vain of Ken Liu's original story trilogy introduced Adam Ever, a tech mogul who advocated for uploading minds and tried to convince Maddie that this is the only way to save humanity from a dying Earth. Caspian has little to nothing in common with this character, but given his genetic father Stephen Holstrom renamed himself from "Phineas", Caspian may follow in his path and give himself a new name as the "savior" ushering humanity into a digital age. Thus he'd be a Canon Character All Along.
    • Even without a name change Holstrum is definitely the "Adam Ever" of the show, with his cult using much of the same arguments, but instead of "Project Adam" we had "Project Caspian" for the different direction. In possible favor of the name change theory is Caspian's time helping church community services, but even without it, the Norway location is a dead ringer for how Everlife, Inc's facility is described. That doesn't rule out the possibility that they intended for Everlife to buy the place after Caspian was done with it and sold it all as he said he would, but if he did choose to keep it and found "Everlife, Inc." from the funds of scrapping Logorhythms would put him in the same role as the "Digital Adam" too.

Rachel and Justine will join the main protagonist group in season 2
  • These two girls are close friends of the respective protagonists, and assuming Caspian does make it up to Maddie for threatening to delete her dad, the four of them along with Ellen and Cody could join in an effort to battle Chanda and the other rogue U.Is.
    • Rachel's taking part would likely be very dependent on if Caspian did make sure she got the money her mom needed and how much her mother would need her physical support. If she hasn't, this will have definitely soured her even more on everything surrounding Caspian than Logorhythm's prior treatment of her and his high-speed highway stunt. Rachel taking an interest in UI due to her mother's failing health would be a very different story, to further her anti-Maddie qualities, though that also wouldn't do her any favors given Caspian's conflicted feelings towards both her and uploads in general.

The reason behind highlighting Maddie's avatar on the poster
  • At the tail end of "The Gods Will Not Be Slain" short story and starting point of "The Gods Have Not Died In Vain", Maddie learned that David and all of the other "Gods" created a cloud-born AI that considers herself Maddie's sister. In season one this concept is touched on, as a means of making a digital mind without the flaw, with the number of UI participating being hoped to up the odds of success. The short story had Maddie make a robot body for the resulting "Mist", and we do see she has a soldering setup in her room for modding an old game console, but perhaps season 2 would have had their version of Mist use the "Valkyrie" avatar as her "face" instead.
