the series will end with Sam and Paige getting married
It would be a fitting ending of the show and provide sequel potential.- Jossed. Sam and Paige break up because the former is traveling to Antarctica while the latter is moving to Georgia for a job. This is mostly due to the distance that will be between them rather than an actual failure in the relationship, and both of them readily admit that they're in love with one another. The possibility of them getting back together upon their returns from their respective trips is also raised.
A main character will die during the finale
It won't be Sam but it will be someone close to him.- Jossed, although Doug's partner Chuck does die midway through the last season just in time for his retirement.
