Tear Jerker / Atypical

• The scene in "Ritualous", where Casey furiously and tearfully rants about how she never wanted a birthday party in the first place and nobody ever thinks about her feelings after seeing that Elsa invited Izzie (who ended her and Casey’s friendship in the previous episode due to a misunderstanding).
• The scene in "Juiced" where Sam and Casey get into a fight. Tensions are unusually high for Casey and Sam since Doug left the house due to him learning about Elsa's affair with Nick and since Sam confessed his feelings for Julia. Casey has become more hostile towards her mother since learning about her affair and is nervous about attending her new school. Sam increasingly becomes irritated with Casey for not putting his toothbrush back in its proper place and has been trying to find a new therapist since he is no longer seeing Julia. Casey loses it when she finds her mother trying to hem her school blazer, leading to her yelling at her mother for driving her father away. Just as she mentions Elsa's affair with Nick, Sam walks into the kitchen, learning the real reason as to why his father is no longer home. Just when things couldn't get any worse, Sam finally snaps when Elsa notices his toothbrush on a Christmas wreath. Enraged, he throws juice on Casey's uniform, leading to her snapping and attacking her brother.
• The season two finale where Sam has another meltdown after his yearbook gets vandalized with mean comments. When Paige finds out what happened, she calls Sam’s family and angrily rants to the whole school about the mean comments. Her vocal chords suffer to the point of being afflicted by laryngitis.
