• Completely Different Title: The English-language video release chooses to focus on the main kaiju and calls the movie Orochi, the Eight-Headed Dragon. Germany, par for the course, takes it one step further and renames Orochi to "Madra".
• Stillborn Franchise: This was meant to be the start of a trilogy of movies but the shoddy box office performance put the kibosh on those plans.
• What Could Have Been: Bagan was considered to appear in the unproduced sequel.
  • Had Yamato Takeru become a series of films, Toho had plans to include Godzilla himself in one of the sequels!
