  • Limited Special Collector's Ultimate Edition: The Switch version has a Collector's Edition made for it, courtesy of Limited Run Games. It contains a physical copy of the game, poster, West of Loathing-themed playing cards, physical soundtrack, cloth map, "SHERF" badge, and cardboard Cactus Bill standee.
  • Schedule Slip: The first DLC was supposed to be out before Christmas 2017, but wasn't released until February 2019, with the developers focusing on the Nintendo Switch port and further Kingdom of Loathing content.
  • What Could Have Been: A lot of nifty tidbits in the August 17, 2017 Kingdom of Loathing podcast. Among them:
    • They were planning to have the Circus turn into a combat zone where you could fight infinite clowns, while recruiting the three freak show exhibits as allies (Eyeball Guy was going to be a boxer, Douglas Front-and-Back was going to be a knife fighter, and Janet-in-a-box was going to have gatling guns).
    • There was going to be a town that got robbed by a train every day at 4:00. You were going to be able to either ambush them the next time they showed up in town, or take a handcar back to their hideout (which was repurposed as the first hideout in Roy Bean's sidequest).
    • There was going to be twelve bandit camps in total - six in the east, three in the middle, three in the west.
    • There was going to be another goblin camp in the far northwest of the map, but they didn't have a good idea for what would actually happen there.
