• Actor-Inspired Element: It was Pamela Anderson's idea to have the video for Miserable (which she was guest starring in) premiere at the end of the episode with the characters of VIP watching it in-universe.

• Awesome, Dear Boy: Lit as a general rule didn't guest star on scripted television, as they preferred to focus on their music careers. However they jumped at the opportunity to guest star in VIP because "it seemed like a lot of fun" they got to "[hang] out with amazingly gorgeous ladies for a week" and "when Pamela Anderson Lee personally asks you to be on her show, it’s a no-brainer."

• What Could Have Been: Several.
  • When Pam first asked Lit to come on her show it was originally going to just be a cameo. But as they stated pitching ideas around, the cameo turned into getting their own episode.

  • Tommy Lee was going to have a cameo as a homeless guy, but the cameo never made it to air.

  • The music video at the end was originally going to be the members of Lit performing at a concert. News articles before the episode's premiere even mention concert footage from their then-recent tour being collected for it.
