• Bank Robbery: The film is one of four in which Heath Ledger plays a character who robs a bank. He reunited with Gregor Jordan to play the title role in Ned Kelly, stole a man's identity for access to his bank account in Candy, then finally, in his last complete performance, robbed a bank as The Joker in the opening scene of The Dark Knight.
• Breakaway Pop Hit: "These Days" by Powderfinger was a massive hit in Australia despite not even being released as a single, winning the 1999 Triple J Hottest 100 and remaining a pop classic there.
