• Creator Backlash: CoGreen20 notes in the season finale that All Stars Do Over is generally their least favorite season, but not as bad as they consider the canon season. According to the author's note at the end of "Defiled," they most deeply regret making Mal the season's main villain and playing into the Jekyll & Hyde trope, even with their attempts to make it more accurate to real life DID than canon did.
• Creator Breakdown: All-Stars Do Over veers into Darker and Edgier territory largely due to the writer's extreme distaste for the canon All-Stars season (primarily its treatment of Mike and Mal) negatively affecting their feelings about Total Drama as a whole.
• Creator's Favorite:
  • CoGreen20's favorite canon character is Noah, and that favoritism remains consistent here, as Noah gets a lot of screen time.
  • Abigail was their favorite personal OC, though in later seasons they prefer Charlotte, with Robert taking second place after his development in All Stars Do Over.
• Creator's Pest:
  • CoGreen20 used to hate their OC Robert, but gave him a redemption arc in All-Stars that mitigated this.
  • CoGreen20 isn't a big fan of Sam as well, which explains why he competes so little in the fanfic.
• Flip-Flop of God: Abigail having ADHD. In the pilot episode, the narration says she has "a slight case of ADD," but in the comments of "Dodgebrawl," in which Abigail discusses having ADHD, CoGreen20 claims that she likely self-diagnosed and might not actually have it, leaving it up in the air whether she's intended as ADHD representation or not.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: CoGreen20 deactivated their account on deviantArt in late October of 2022. However, archived links have been saved on the wiki. Most of the old journal entries containing bonus content, such as the videos from home, the post-elimination scenes, the audition tapes, and scenes inside Mike's brain, were deleted previously, and only some of this is preserved on the wiki and archival sites as well.
• Official Fan-Submitted Content:
  • For the Aftermath episodes, fans were encouraged to submit characters and questions to fill the "video guest" portion.
  • Every original character who debuts in World Tour Do Over and Revenge Do Over is submitted by a member of the audience.
• Promoted Fanboy:
  • MightyMewtron was originally an avid fan of the fanfiction and submitted one of the first two outside Original Characters for the series. She would later provide some additional dialogue and song lyrics for World Tour Do Over.
  • Emperor-Lucas was a fan who submitted Cheyenne to the cast of Revenge of the Island. He would later draw the official Total Drama-style character vectors for the Original Characters, which are considered among the official designs.
  • Many prominent fans of the show (Lolitafreak88, Clyde-The-Snivy, GyroMaster, TDIFANMIKE, Mysterion305 and TrixieLulamoon323) became co-writers for Ridonculous Race Do Over.
• Running the Asylum: Ridonculous Race Do Over, while still published and overseen by the original author, is primarily written by various fans of the fanfic, most of them having previously submitted characters to the show. This is because the original author was phasing out of doing Total Drama fanfiction, but enjoyed Ridonculous Race enough to make one more season of Do Over based on that series, so they recruited a team to help them write.
• What Could Have Been:
  • There was originally going to be an official spin-off titled Total Drama University focused on characters that were underutilized in the fic, which would be written by fans of the fanfiction, but this was supplanted by Ridonculous Race Do Over, which recruited those fans to co-write the season.
  • According to Word of Saint Paul, the original cast for TDASDO had Chris as a contestant, an idea which carried over to Ridonculous Race Do Over. Noah was also not in the initial All Stars Do Over cast.
  • The TDWTDO special was originally going to follow through on the Lindsay clone alien plotline with an alien invasion, but this was abandoned in favor of something more grounded.
  • Originally, Noah would have been eliminated in "No Pain, No Game," but the fans voting for him to be safe with the immunity idol kept him on for a few episodes until getting eliminated in "That's Off the Chain."
• Word of Gay: CoGreen20 and MightyMewtron both publicly discussed Mel being bisexual a few seasons before it was confirmed in Pahkitew Island.
• Working Title: The earliest episodes were originally titled "Total Drama Alternate Island."
