- Colbert Bump: Was featured in a review video by YouTuber Kurtis Conner, which caught the attention of Tony Hawk himself. It so turns out that Tony's daughter is a fan of the channel, and Tony was at least mildly amused by the dubious honour given to his film.
- What Could Have Been:
- Tony Hawk was in talks with Warner Bros. for a skateboarding spin-off to Space Jam, tentatively titled Skate Jam, in 2003. This was canned shortly after the commercial failure of Looney Tunes: Back in Action, though it wouldn't be until 2020 when Hawk revealed of its aborted existence.
- Earlier treatments of the film had a more Cel Shaded aesthetic prior to its all-CGI incarnation.
- Write Who You Know: The character of Frank is presumably modelled after Frank Peter Hawk, Tony's late father who passed away from lung cancer in 1995. Like his fictional counterpart, Frank Hawk was a retried military veteran who later organised skate events and helped establish a governing body for the sport in their home town. Both he and his wife Nancy were extremely supportive of their son Tony's skateboarding career, in contrast to Tony's childhood friends in the Bones Brigade whose parents were initially opposed to their sons' hobbies out of fear for their safety.
