• While the film on its own isn't so fondly remembered no thanks to its disjointed plot and poor production values, the fact that they incorporated a character based on Tony Hawk's Real Life father stands out as a rather endearing memorial to the late Frank Hawk, who supported his son from the get-go and helped organise and legitimise the sport from an underground hobby to a respected athletic discipline with its own sanctioning body.
