  • Box Office Bomb: Budget, $60 million. Box office, $50,547,998 (domestic), $104,391,623 (worldwide).
  • Creator Killer: While Chan's career suffered no problems, a sizable chunk of the rest of the crew took varying levels of damage to their careers, and some of them ended up in the cinema Demon Netherworld for some time (it's been an indefinite stay for writer Michael Leeson, who's only done television work since). Producer Adam Schroeder eventually escaped and returned to movie producing in The New 10's. • While it didn't completely end Jackie Chan's career, it was the beginning of the end of his popularity in America, as it showed that Hollywood's perchance for safer techniques like CGI effects and stunt doubles didn't bode well with the high risk, high pay-off method that made Chan's Hong Kong films work.
