Trivia / The Simpsons S13 E19 "The Sweetest Apu"

• Deleted Scene: After Apu ends things with Annette for good, it is revealed that she is currently having an affair with Chief Wiggum. Word of St. Paul states that this scene involving chief Wiggim was removed because the writers thought it would make the whole episode look too sad.
• The Other Darrin: Tress MacNeille voices Manjula in the episode. A deleted scene on the DVD box set shows that Jan Hooks did record the voice for the episode, making it possible that Tress had to redo the vocals if Hooks was unavailable.
• Reality Subtext: The episode's Chalkboard Gag had Bart writing, "I will never lie about being cancelled again." This was done to combat Matt Groening's rumor that the series was ending after its thirteenth season.
