• First Appearance: "Late for Breakfast" marks the debut of Bunny, Cecil, GrandPat, Ouchie, the Dartfish Family, and the city of Shmandor.
• What Could Have Been: The show's pitch bible details an earlier draft of the episode, with some details changed.
  • The opening of Patrick's Morning Routine was not yet added, with him realizing he overslept shortly after waking up.
  • The chum commercial has an extra scene of Plankton advertising it as a "fantastic nightlight", with a clip showing a glowing, pulsating bucket of chum in the dark.
  • The commercial also ends with Plankton saying "Try chum today! And you won't have to tomorrow!"
  • Patrick's cooking show, titled "Patrick's Pantry", goes different. He makes food out of garbage as usual, but it comes to life and crawls away before he can bite it. In the final, his attempt to use Oven Logic nukes the food to a gray dust, leaving him with nothing to eat.
  • The outline ends with Patrick delivering a Spoof Aesop of "If you're hungry, get delivery!" In the final, this was replaced with Patrick going to sleep.
• Working Title: The pitch bible gives the episode's title as "Patrick's Late for Dinner", or, in accordance to a scrapped idea to adhere to One Word Titles, "HUNRGY!"
