• California Doubling: Unable to leave Victoria because of the COVID-19 Pandemic, that state had to double for the Darwin scenes.
• Dyeing for Your Art: Sam Reid, a redhead ^note coincidentally, Reid is a surname of Scottish origin which means "red", dyed his hair light brown for the role of Dale Jennings in Season 1. However, this doesn't apply to Seasons 2 & 3 because he had to wear a wig in order to maintain his long hair for Interview with the Vampire (2022).
• Queer Character, Queer Actor: Rory Fleck Byrne is gay and portrays the bisexual Gerry Carroll.
