• Creator's Favorite: Irene Koh really likes Jargala and cites her as one of the ways the comic further diversifies Asians as the franchise had previously focused mostly on East Asians.
• Dear Negative Reader: Koh received a lot of flack from fans for drawing what they felt was a slimmed down version of Korra. She eventually made a post on her tumblr pointing out the fact that she was drawing Korra with the same physique she had in the show.
• Promoted Fangirl:
  • Irene Koh was, in a addition to being a professional comic artist, a Korrasami shipper and fan artist before the pairing became canon. Now she's the artist for an official comic series focused on the pairing, and got to draw Korra and Asami's first canon kiss.
  • The same is true of Heather Campbell, the cover artist for Turf Wars and the artist for the "Friends For Life" FCBD book.
• Schedule Slip:
  • The series was announced at SDCC 2015, with release tentatively slated for summer 2016. Brittney Williams was to provide the art, but after releasing some character sketches, she got sick and had to drop out of the project. The first volume was delayed until July 2017, with Irene Koh replacing Williams.
  • Part Three's release date is advertised as "June 2018" in the back pages of Part Two. It got pushed back to late August / early September 2018.
