• Completely Different Title: Inevitable with Chinese dramas. Unlike some, this one's English title is actually related to the plot.
• Similarly Named Works: The series shares its English title with a 2003 Korean drama. The earlier series is also called The King and the Woman, which lessens the confusion somewhat.
• Those Two Actors: This is the fourth time Dilraba Dilmurat and Vin Zhang have worked together. Previously they both appeared in V Love, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms and Pretty Li Hui Zhen. They also went on to star together in The Flame's Daughter.
