• Shout-Out: Both the original and Genesis backstory bears loose similarity to Stephen King's The Running Man- the original being a prisoner, the Fatal Rewind rework being a poor man trying to earn money to cure his terminally ill daughter, both forced to partake in a Life or Death gameshow. The former reflects the movie version of the story while the latter reflects the original novel version. The similarity stops there though.
