• DVD Commentary: John Kricfalusi, a huge fan of the short (and Bob Clampett's Warner Bros. work in general), provides a commentary track for the cartoon on Looney Tunes Golden Collection Vol. 2 (later recycled for the Looney Tunes Platinum Collection Vol. 1 Blu-ray).
• What Could Have Been: Had Disney not balked at the notion, the short would have played before Dick Tracy.
• Write Who You Know: Clampett was a huge fan of comics, and apparently based Daffy's excitement over his new issue of Dick Tracy off of his own love of the medium.
