  • Banned in the Philippines: Nearly averted when Senator Vicente "Tito" Sotto III sought to have the song "Alapaap" banned on the grounds that it promoted substance abuse. The band vehemently denied said allegations, though Buendia would later admit that "Alapaap" was indeed about weed.
  • Pop-Culture Urban Legends: Widely-held belief has it that "Spoliarium" was a veiled allusion to the late porn actress Pepsi Paloma, whose alleged rape by Eat Bulaga! hosts Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon, and Ricardo "Richie D'Horsie" Reyes became a stuff of legend and conspiracy theories in the Philippines. Buendia also denied such connections to TVJ's affair with Paloma in an interview, claiming that it was simply an Ode to Intoxication and the mention of Vic (referred by his other nickname "Enteng") and Joey alluded to their time as roadies for the band.
