  • Bonus Material: As is common with Japanese media, tokuten are offered from various stores for purchases of the books. They include:
    • An entire collection of short stories later published as a fanbook
    • Short stories by Tsujimura included in each Blu-ray disc of the official anime adaptation
    • An acrylic stand for the special edition of volume ten
    • Bonus comics included with various editions of the manga
    • Special themed artwork included with the manga
  • Completely Different Title: The Japanese title for the series is 宝石商リチャード氏の謎鑑定 (or Housekishou Richardo-shi no Naze Kantei, in romanji), which more literally translates to "Jeweler Richard's Mystery Appraisal".
  • Creator's Oddball: Tsujimura is actually mostly a sci-fi and fantasy writer. The Case Files of Jeweler Richard were her only books without a speculative element until 2021, when she finally published another.
  • He Also Did: Nanako Tsujimura has also written a sci-fi novel Magna Civitas along with a follow up to it called Ai no Katachi, a sci-fi time-travel novel titled Labyrinth and a paranormal fantasy novel set in Italy titled Wasureji no K.
