• Executive Meddling: At the time Terkay debuted in WWE, it was typical for the company to invest in promising workers and instantly discard them if they didn't turn out exactly how the execs wanted. For Terkay, it was even worse because that the bookers simply didn't know what they wanted to do with him: they first wanted to him to play a MMA gimmick, then a conventional wrestler, and then an Evil Is Bigger counterpart to Kurt Angle, all in a matter of months. When they got tired of scrambling ideas, they released him without ever giving him a chance.
• What Could Have Been:
  • According to insiders, there were some early plans to put Terkay in a feud with The Undertaker.
  • Gerald Brisco, for whom amateur wrestlers are Author Appeal, wanted Terkay to play an amateur gimmick in the vein of Kurt Angle after he was sent to ECW. However, he gave up on his plans and let him be released.
