- Approval of God: Alex Hirsch, Dana Terrace and Daron Nefcy played a portion of the game for a charity drive and Hirsch gave it a positive review for the artwork and premise, although he was surprised by the concept.
- Promoted Fan Boy: Crew member and sprite designer kiki-kit later worked on "Don’t Dimension It!" for Gravity Falls: Lost Legends.
- What Could Have Been: One idea for a final date with Ford was him taking the player to see the alien ruins from "Dipper and Mabel vs. The Future." His reason was that he wanted to show the player that there’s still lots to discover in Gravity Falls, in hopes that they’ll come back to the town and him by extension.
- One date idea for Stan’s Route was washing Stan’s car with him.
- Alternative ideas for Ford’s ending pic. The sketch of him laughing in the pool was reused for an unlockable picture.
- Alternate names for the game included:
- "Pining For The Pines" (it was the runner up but was scrapped for being potentially problematic since "Pines" could also refer to Dipper and Mabel)
- "Pining After Pines"
- "Grunkle Dating Stimulatior 2000"
- "Grunkle Dater 3000"
- "Matchmaking With Mabel"
- "A Car Crash Into Romance"
- "Please Don’t Tell Alex Hirsch About This Game" (which also became a Development Gag for the crew.)
