• Billing Displacement: Mary Elizabeth Winstead doesn't appear until the last five minutes of the movie, despite being billed third. Granted, she's one of the only other important characters in the movie besides the two leads.
• Breakthrough Hit: For Dan Kwan and Daniel Schienert (better known as Daniels).
• No Stunt Double: At Daniel Radcliffe's insistence, the only time he wasn't on screen as Manny was for potentially lethal shots, in which he was replaced with a life-sized dummy that he personally manipulated (Radcliffe later went on a promotional tour with the dummy, posing for photos and going on amusement park rides with it). Otherwise, every single shot of Manny is Radcliffe himself. He did not, ironically, provide any of the fart noises in post, however.
• Fake American: London-born Daniel Radcliffe speaks with an American accent here.
• Method Acting: The music was all recorded before the film was shot and played back during key emotional scenes off-camera.
