Trivia / Suspect Zero

• Creator Killer: E. Elias Merhige seemed to disappear completely from the industry after filming this. He has not been heard from since aside from directing the short Din of Celestial Birds, two years after the reception / bomb of Suspect Zero.
• Orphaned Reference: A few times characters make reference to a "fifty foot shark", without ever actually elaborating on it. Where it was elaborated on was in Zak Penn's original screenplay, where Suspect Zero is compared to a hypothetical fifty foot shark. Much in the same way Suspect Zero can go on murdering without detection and be therefore hard to pinpoint, a fifty foot shark (being as large as it is) would never have need to surface and would evade human detection.
