- Descended Creator: Not only have Kate Wetherhead, and Andrew Keenan-Bolger co-created the show, they produce it, write the music, and act in it. Kate portrayed Penny, and Andrew portrayed Donny.
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: All episodes were originally uploaded on Youtube. Since 2018, they've been moved to a theater streaming service called Watch Stage.com, much to fan's dismay.
- Production Posse: Wetherhead and Keenan-Bolger who took part in Legally Blonde and Newsies, hired their castmates to be part of the show.
- Write What You Know: Many of the events that happen in the show were inspired by stories Kate Wetherhead and Andrew Keenan-Bolger either heard, and or experienced themselves.
