• Trolling Creator:
  • The official hintbook includes several potshots at the player for attempting to use it for the most easiest of puzzle solutions. One of the questions isn't even for Space Quest III, but instead for Manhunter, which the book calls out. This could be seen as a Take That! towards players who quickly resort to referring to hintbooks instead of trying to figure out the solutions to puzzles themselves.
  • On an early version of the game, on the screen where a snake tries to eat you if you don't run away very fast, you have the option to "use bridle on snake." Doing so will net you -5 points and a Take That! message with Biting-the-Hand Humor.
    You've been getting some mighty strange ideas from playing 'KQ II', haven't you? You lose 5 points.
